Hair Trend: Exaggerated baby hairs and cool girl static,
served with headscarves and sunglasses. “The hair has a
carefree, Alexa vibe. It’s a girl who’s grown up in a cult and
broken out to navigate her own style. We’re adding a bit of
post-apocalyptic static energy to the hair with a balloon.”
says Brownsell.
The How-to:
Saturate with water and apply Tecni.Art Liss Control or Liss Control Plus (depending on texture) using hands to smooth out the hair.
Spritz Tecni.Art Pli through the front and push back the hair so there’s no defined
parting. Set with Infinium Soft Hold Hairspray.
Tuck hair behind the ears and fix a net around the
head so it creates a believable post-headscarf shape.
While the net’s still on, work on the front of the hair
to create a fuzzy texture. Exaggerate baby hairs using
a blusher brush.
Take a balloon and rub it over the front of the hair to create static energy texture.
The Pro Tip: To achieve cool girl static, circle the balloon on the hair in one direction. Using tools like a blusher brush and balloon will stop baby hairs looking stringy.

Hair Trend: ‘Hazy iridescent’ hair. A trio of different textures for roots, midlengths
and ends that go from dusty to shiny. “We’re hinting at the sci-fi
character with a hazy texture - models have an exaggerated crown that’s
almost alien shaped,” says Outen.
The How-to:
Spray Tecni.Art Constructor through the roots and dry in using a hairdryer and hands, no brushes, to exaggerate natural movement.
Use the palms of hands to control and exaggerate a hazy texture at the crown.
Apply Tecni.Art Siren Waves through the mid-lengths and
ends, squeezing with hands to add definition and weight to contrast with the crown’s airiness.
Enhance the crown’s hazy texture with a light layer of Tecni.Art Morning After
Dust at the roots to retain the shape.
Add a light layer of Tecni.Art Super Dust to enhance the crown’s translucent,
hazy finish.
To contrast with the crown, smooth Tecni.Art Liss Control Plus through the
ends to create shine.
Spray a light layer of Tecni.Art Ring Light to add extra shine and detail to the
iridescent ends.
The Pro Tip: Keeping the crown hazy but compact is key so it doesn't look messy. Use the palms of hands when drying to compress and control the hair into shape.

Hair Trend: A face-framing soft and casual ponytail, secured with a
subtle wrap of hair. “Here we need to see some neck. The collection is about huge
trapper hats and oversized scarves so hair is easy and effortless to offset the accessories.” says Outen.
The How-to:
Spray Tecni.Art Volume Lift generously onto damp hair.
Apply Tecni.Art Liss Control Plus to the ends and blow-dry smooth.
Break down with hands using Tecni.Art Depolish on mid-lengths and ends so the
ponytail has some matte texture.
Secure a ponytail low and loose at the nape of the neck with clear elastic.
Take a piece of hair from one side, wrap around the ponytail and tuck the end into the elastic for a subtle detail.
Use Tecni.Art Fix Anti-Frizz to hold the style and prevent flyaways. Spray
through the front of hair and brush through to create a clean, defined hairline.
The Pro Tip: Keep the pony draped low enough to look effortless and low-key. Too tight, and it can look disciplined and strict.

Hair Trend: Wet texture hair with a fresh twist on accessorising.
“We used super-long black jersey, tied it around the neck and used
the remainder to bind the length of the hair. The quiff at the front
adds a boyish, yet chic detail,” says Hersheson.
The How-to:
Working on hair that’s about 60% wet, comb through Mythic Oil from roots to ends so hair looks damp, but not stiff.
Apply Tecni.Art Web to add texture and hold before styling.
Add in a quiff detail at the front, pulling hair loosely back with a tailcomb to allow some movement and then use a black elastic to secure the hair at the nape of the neck.
Use a piece of long black jersey placed behind the quiff to accessorise. Tie at the nape and use the remainder of the jersey to bind the hair length. For longer hair, fold the hair back on itself first.
Apply a light spritz of Infinium Pure to hold the style.
The Pro Tip: Buy some black jersey from a haberdashery and experiment with DIY hair binding. Wear as a short ponytail or fold the hair back on itself for a more compact look.

Hair Trend: Individuality and diversity, with a line-up of guys and girls defining their natural texture and embracing their own style.“We’re treating the models like clients and accentuating what they love most about their hair. We want them to own it,” says Outen.
The How-to:
Smooth Tecni.Art Siren Waves on top of hand and use sparingly on fingertips to twist individual curls and add definition.
Apply Tecni.Art Liss Control Plus sparingly using fingertips to smooth curls and add shine.
Spritz Tecni.Art Ring Light to enhance all over shine.
The Pro Tip: If you have straight hair and want to create curls, vary the definition and tightness of the curl so it looks more authentic.

Hair Trend: Volumised, wind-blown texture that emphasises width
rather than height. “It’s messy and full-on with lots of volume, but
there’s a really subtle beauty to it” says Gill.
How-to:
Spritz Tecni.Art Pli to boost volume and massage at the roots.
Spray Tecni.Art Full Volume Extra mousse generously through mid-lengths and ends to prep hair for blow-drying.
Using a hairdryer, twist hair at the roots using a vent brush. Blast roots with cold air to set.
Go through section by section, backcombing the roots and sprinkling
in Tecni.Art Super Dust.
If extra oomph is required, puff with Tecni.Art Morning After Dust.
Set the style with Tecni.Art Air Fix throughout lengths for hold.
The Pro Tip: Achieve mega-volume by focusing product and heat at the roots. Begin at the back of the head, tip hair upside down, and use the hairdryer on a hot and fast setting to lift and add volume.

The Look: Sci-fi Hitchcock heroines with aerodynamic shaped updos.
“It’s a futuristic version of 60’s hair that’s sculpted and slightly
alien-shaped. We want it to feel very ‘done’, but modern,” says
Turner.
The How-to:
Apply a generous amount of Tecni.ART Full Volume Extra mousse throughout the hair for a tough structure to build on.
Use a hairdryer to dry. Focus on hairline to keep the front super-tight and flat.
Create a horseshoe section to split the hair into two sections.
Scrape the back section neatly into a ponytail, positioned at the crown.
Spray Tecni.ART Savage Panache on the roots of the ponytail to texturise and backcomb into a fuzzy bun to create a ‘padding’ for the front section.
Focusing on the front section, apply more Savage Panache to tease the hair upwards. Then, brush the front section back to maintain the flatness from the hairline.
Brush the front section over the bun so the style rises aerodynamically over the crown. Pin securely, hiding the bun, so the back and front merge into one sculpted, sci-fi shape.
Fix the style with Infinium Extreme hold hairspray.
Add decorative clip above the nape of the neck in line-up.
The Pro Tip: Keep the back high, neat and "lifted" so the style looks futuristic, not retro.

The Look: 40’s-inspired deep waves with a Veronica Lake side parting.
“We’re keeping the waves straighter on top and adding a hazy finish so it doesn’t
look retro,” says Outen.
The How-to:
Spray Tecni.ART Constructor generously over smooth, dry hair to add guts and give the style a hazy finish.
Make a clean side parting and add extensions if required to add fullness to ends.
Create barrel curls using a medium-sized tong. Start curling from the roots down so heat is more concentrated at the root area.
Pin each curl individually to cool and set.
Depending on hair texture, use Tecni.ART Liss Control Plus to break up the ends.
Spray Tecni.ART Fix Anti-Frizz to give finished waves hold.
Use a flash of Tecni.ART Ring Light, focusing on the ends to add shine and separation.
The Pro Tip: To modernise deep waves, keep hair straighter on top and start tonging curls from the eye level down.

The Look: Intricate ponytail with a criss-cross detail.“It’s like a super-clean butterfly shape. We echo the criss-cross element with a parting sliced in on a diagonal,” says Outen.
The How-to:
Blow-dry Tecni.ART Pli into hair before straightening with irons.
Create a side parting that’s ‘sliced’ so it sits diagonally.
Use a light spritz of Tecni.ART Fix Anti-Frizz to prep for sectioning.
Split hair into three sections, leaving over half the hair at the back for a ponytail positioned at the nape of the neck
Take the sections from either side and criss-cross neatly over the low ponytail, brushing to smooth. Tie securely with black elastic.
Spray the ends with Tecni.ART Ring Light for extra gloss in the line-up.
The Pro Tip: Grab a spare pair of hands to hold the middle section straight as you make the criss-cross detail from either side and secure the elastic.
