BORA AKSU Empower like Frida Kahlo

Lead Artist: Tina Outen

@tinadidit

Hair Trend: Skinny braids with a weathered, textured front. "It's loose, weathered and worn with a tough individual style. Super messy and strong, yet unapologetically feminine.” says Outen

The How-to:
- Mist hair generously with L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli for texture and prepare for styling.
- Apply L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Transformer Texture Lotion in the palm of the hand and use the product through the hairline and front of hair to define and shape during drying.
- Create a uniformed centre parting before adding an additional layer of Transformer Texture. Massage L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Super Dust at the root to add grit and lift.
- Using a medium-sized hair tong around the hairline create random, broken texture.
- Keeping the lengths of the hair clean, follow the centre parting down to separate the lengths into two and create a braid on each side of the head.
- Keep each braid skinny, tight and low, shaping the braid behind the ear so it's visible from the front. Secure with a clear band about one inch from the ends.
- Spritz L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART 6-Fix throughout the hair to define the texture.

- Finish with L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Ring Light, specifically focusing on the ends of the braids to give a super luminous ring light finish from root to ends.

The Pro Tip: You can't get enough texture in the front section. The messier, the better through the parting, the front, the sides and the braids. Imperfect is the new perfect.

MOLLY GODDARD #Iwokeuplikethis

Lead Artist: Luke Hersheson

@lukehersheson

Hair Trend: The ultimate model off-duty #iwokeuplikethis look. “It’s a ponytail that’s not quite a ponytail, she wants her hair off her face but didn’t bother to pull the ponytail through completely, it’s unfinished but she doesn’t mind. It’s a very ‘real’ hair look, you can imagine a girl trying a dress on and sweeping her hair up.” says Luke.

The How- to:

- Mist the hair thoroughly with L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli to prep. Dry with a hairdryer using diffuser attachment.

- Apply L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Full Volume Extra Mousse generously throughout the hair for separation.
- Pull the hair back using hands and secure a pony using elastic halfway between the crown and the nape.
- On the final tie-through, pull the hair halfway through the elastic to leave the ends free.
-  Exaggerate the undone feel by breaking the hair apart and pulling out random pieces.

The Pro Tip: Pile on the L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Full Volume Extra Mousse and let the product dry on its own so it gives the hair a separated, piece-y texture that looks lived-in.

ERDEM Inspired by Tina Modotti

Lead Artist: Anthony Turner

@anthonyturnerhair

The Look: A clean, boyish braid topped off with a big black bow. “It’s a quintessential Erdem look. It feels quite tough because of the strict centre parting and tight braid, but the big bow softens the look and makes it feel romantic,” says Turner.

How to: Prep hair with L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli and L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil to create expensive-looking hair.

- Blow-dry hair section by section using a styling nozzle for a sleek, straight finish and lots of tension around the hairline.

- Comb in a strong and strict centre parting.

- Brush the two front sections to neatly cover the ears, lightly backcombing first for hold.

- Create a low tight braid at the back using L’Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Infinium Extreme and the styling nozzle to smooth the hair for each braid section.

- Keep the ends precise and bind with black elastic to secure.

- Perfect the ends of the braid and hairline with L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Extreme.

- To finish, tie a wide black ribbon in a bow and secure with a bobby pin.

The Pro Tip: The hair neatly covering the ears sets this braid apart. Lightly backcomb the hair underneath to prevent hair from separating so it sits in a solid section over the ear.
