Discovering talent on stage.
Do you dream of being on stage, but don’t have the opportunity? Are you bursting with new creative ideas and want to bring them to life? Do you want your hairdressing career to go as far as it can? If so Talentspotting is definitely for you.
Leading the way this is a competition with a difference. This competition is about how YOU can present YOUR original idea LIVE on stage to an audience and a panel of highly esteemed judges.
Stage 1. Create Your mood board: This can be of any shape or size but must show the theme and concept of what your 10 minute presentation would be about.
Stage 2. The semi-finals: Should your mood board be judged one of the 4 most innovative for your region, you will have the chance to bring it to life at your regional semi-final event. You will have your 10 minutes of fame in which to present your original idea with models together with either a live cut or colour on stage.
Stage 3. The Grand Final: If you win your region you will be asked back to attend and present your original presentation at the Live Grand Final in London, should you be the best you will be crowned Talentspotting Winner 2007.
The Prize:
As the Talentspotting 2007 finalists, each of the six regional winners will get:
- To spend a day with an industry name to coach you on stage presentation skills in preparation for the Grand Final
- A sought-after place on one the exciting 2007 L’Oréal Professionnel Rome Exposure Tour, where you will be whisked away to a European city for a long weekend and will see shows by UK guest artists and European artists
- A one-to-one mentoring session specifically on your presentations with Adam Reed from Charles Worthington in preparation for the Grand Final
- A ticket to Salon International 2007
- Coverage in trade press
The overall winner will get:
- A place on the 2008 L’Oréal Professionnel id Artist Programme
- A shoot art-directed by Adam Reed from Charles Worthington
- Pictures from the shoot will be used to promote the competition in 2008
- Performance and mentoring session hosted by L’Oréal Professionnel with industry figureheads
- Two tickets to the Colour Trophy Grand Final 2008
- Opportunities to work on prestigious fashion shows such as Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design BA Fashion Show in 2008 or Graduate Fashion Week in 2008
- £1000 worth of L’Oréal Professionnel education courses in the L’Oréal International Academy
- Subscription for 2008 Creative HEAD, HJ and Salon Business
